You know, I never thought I would...Excellent post.

You know, I never thought I would consider Bruce Wayne "resting in peace", but he did go out taking the biggest of the bad with him...if anything would give Bats peace, it would be that.

I think the general consensus (and hope) will be that Blackest Night will reverse all the deaths in the DCU thus far and make death more permanent, as you mentioned.

My thought is that the Black Lanterns have one weakness...the soul of the bodies they inhabit. We saw that Deadman exists as his ghostlyh self and a Black Lantern now....the soul doesn't drive the Black Lantern, but they use the memories and power of the dead to get an emotional response from the living in order to emotionally supercharge thier hearts for extraction.

I think that the Lanterns will find the Deus Ex Machina (somehow through the other lantern corps?) that will send the souls of the deceased back to their bodies and eliminating the Black Lanterns while ressurecting the dead.

Back to Bruce though...his story should be interesting. I'd love to read about Bruce being at peace in death, and ripped out to continue his mission. Call me sadistic.Jay-Me-Deehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/15800761774963965583noreply@blogger.com
